The board honored 15 members of The Woodlands Fire Department for their service in flood relief operations in the Hill Country, commending their dedication during multi-week assignments with various task forces. President Monique Sharp expressed appreciation for the firefighters' efforts and contributions. The board accepted a financial report indicating a favorable revenue variance of over $4 million, attributed to increased sales tax and unbudgeted contributions.

An update from the Lone Star Groundwater Conservation District was also presented, covering groundwater management and conservation strategies. The district aims to balance property rights with the preservation of groundwater resources. This meeting underscored the township's commitment to community awareness and support initiatives.
