Deputies responded to a theft-in-progress call at Macy's, leading to the couple's capture. Flores and Bishop, accompanied by their juvenile daughter, were responsible for four thefts over a week, causing local retailers approximately $5,000 in losses. Authorities recovered $1,200 in stolen merchandise during the arrests. They face charges under a new Texas law enacted on September 1, 2025, as part of Senate Bill 1300.
