The Woodlands Fire Department responds to restaurant kitchen fire

Engine 101 of the Woodlands Fire Department responded to a kitchen fire at Fielding’s Wood Grill at 11:18 AM on September 18. Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke and initiated an evacuation of the strip center. They located the fire within the cooking ventilation system and worked from both inside and the roof to extinguish it. Fire damage was confined to the ventilation system and roof, resulting in minimal impact to other businesses in the center. Plains Capital Bank and Capital Title have since reopened, while the Houston Eye Associates will remain closed for the day.

The Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the incident to determine its cause. Firefighters were assisted by Needham Fire & Rescue, the Montgomery County Hospital District, and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. This incident highlights the importance of prompt emergency response in mitigating fire damage in commercial settings.
