The Woodlands Township hosts Patriot Day of Remembrance Ceremony to honor lives lost on September 11

The Woodlands Township commemorated the 24th anniversary of the September 11 attacks with a Patriot Day of Remembrance on September 11, 2025, at Central Fire Station. The ceremony started at 7:30 a. m. and honored the lives lost while paying tribute to first responders' courage and sacrifices. The program included a Presentation of Colors by the Woodlands Fire Department Honor Guard and featured a poignant reading of The Fireman’s Prayer.

Attendees participated in The Ringing of the Bell, a tradition that honors fallen firefighters. Photos from the ceremony can be viewed on the Hello Woodlands Facebook page, capturing the community's spirit of remembrance. The event was also streamed live on The Woodlands Township Facebook page for those unable to attend. This annual observance serves as a reminder of the community's resilience and the ongoing commitment to honoring first responders.
