The Woodlands Township Board adopted the 2026 consolidated budget and the 2025 property tax rate during a special meeting on September 4, 2025. President and CEO Monique Sharp presented the budget, which received unanimous approval from the Board. The total property tax rate, set at $0. 1714 per $100 of taxable value, includes a debt service rate of $0. 0102 and a maintenance and operations rate of $0.

1612. The maintenance and operations rate was adopted with a 5 to 2 vote, with Chairman Brad Bailey and Director Shelley Sekula-Gibbs dissenting. Following the budget adoption, the Board held a public hearing, which saw only one resident provide feedback on the proposed tax rate. The Board's approval of the tax rates maintains the same property tax rate as in 2024, reflecting stability in local fiscal policy. The Order Levying Taxes was also approved with a 5 to 2 vote, confirming the Board's commitment to maintaining current tax levels.

The meeting provided a platform for community engagement, although participation was limited.
