CenterPoint Energy is taking proactive measures for emergency preparedness during National Preparedness Month. The company urges the public to create personal emergency plans and utilize its Power Alert Service® for crucial updates. Significant improvements include the installation of over 32,000 storm-resilient poles and more than 5,150 automated devices. The company completed 17,000 hours of emergency response training for nearly 1,000 employees to ensure effective action during extreme weather. Additionally, CenterPoint collaborates with local officials and community partners for coordinated responses.

AI technology is also employed to predict extreme weather impacts better. These initiatives are part of a broader strategy to enhance resiliency ahead of the 2025 hurricane season. CenterPoint remains committed to updating the public on its preparedness actions.
