The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jontravous Jones, 24, after a high-speed vehicle pursuit following a robbery at the Louis Vuitton store in The Woodlands on August 29, 2025. The chase began when deputies attempted to stop Jones's white Ford F-150, which he fled, leading to a dangerous pursuit on local roads. During the incident, Jones struck two vehicles and a METRO bus, causing minor injuries to several victims, who were later treated at local hospitals. After abandoning his vehicle, Jones fled on foot but was apprehended shortly after by deputies. He was charged with Robbery and Evading Arrest in a Motor Vehicle, with investigators linking him to other Louis Vuitton thefts in various cities.

The Woodlands Township Chairman commended law enforcement for their responsiveness and commitment to community safety. Sheriff Wesley Doolittle acknowledged the support from various agencies, highlighting the collaborative effort in the pursuit. This incident underscores ongoing concerns regarding retail theft and public safety in the area.
