The Woodlands to host Patriot Day of Remembrance

The Woodlands Township will host a Patriot Day of Remembrance on September 11, 2025, from 7:30 to 8 a. m. at Central Fire Station, located at 9951 Grogan’s Mill Road. This solemn ceremony will honor the victims of the September 11 terrorist attacks and recognize the courage of first responders. The program will include a Presentation of Colors by The Woodlands Fire Department Honor Guard, a reading of The Fireman’s Prayer, and The Ringing of the Bell in remembrance of fallen firefighters.

Limited onsite parking will be available for attendees, ensuring accessibility for community members. For those unable to attend, the ceremony will be streamed live on The Woodlands Township Fire Department's Facebook page. This annual event serves as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made on that day and fosters community solidarity. The Woodlands has commemorated this event since 2002, reflecting its enduring impact on the local community. The Township encourages all residents to participate and honor those who have served.
