VIDEO Conroe Police Department holds Press Conference sharing Operation Heat Wave results

Operation Heat Wave, conducted by the Conroe Police Department from August 4 to August 8, 2025, resulted in 71 arrests and the clearance of 91 felony warrants. The initiative was prompted by an extensive review of outstanding warrants, leading Chief Jon C. Buckholtz to coordinate with the U. S. Marshals and other local agencies.

Major warrants cleared included serious charges such as child pornography and family violence, reflecting the operation's focus on violent offenders. Buckholtz emphasized the importance of timely justice for victims, asserting, “Justice delayed is justice denied. ” The collaborative effort involved numerous agencies, showcasing the effectiveness of interagency cooperation in law enforcement. The operation's success exceeded expectations, clearing a significant number of warrants and holding fugitives accountable. These cases will now proceed to local District Attorney offices, ensuring that justice continues to be pursued.

The operation highlights the ongoing commitment of law enforcement to address serious crimes and support victims in the community.
