The Woodlands Lions Club launches art contest for the Wildflower Festival

The Woodlands Lions Club has announced the opening of entries for the Wildflower Festival Art Contest, which coincides with the festival's 37th anniversary on October 18, 2025. Artists are invited to submit artwork depicting nature scenes that incorporate wildflowers, with a deadline for submissions set for September 15, 2025. The contest will award $100 for first place in children's categories and $500 for the adult category winner, encouraging participation from all age groups. Notably, the Grand Prize-winning children's artwork will be featured on the official festival bag, while the winning adult entry will become the festival's official poster. The festival, held at Rob Fleming Park, will also offer family-friendly activities, including crafts, inflatables, and live performances, alongside the distribution of thousands of free wildflower seed packets.

Participants must ensure their artwork meets specific guidelines, including size and labeling requirements. The contest not only showcases local talent but also fosters community engagement in a beloved tradition. Winners will be notified shortly after the submission deadline, with all artwork to be collected by October 30, 2025.
