Montgomery County Sheriffs Office shuts down Two Massage Businesses for Illicit Activities

On August 6, 2025, Montgomery County law enforcement arrested two suspects linked to illicit activities at two massage businesses. The Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the District Attorney’s Office, conducted a thorough investigation revealing illegal sexual services at Pure Massage in Spring and Zen Massage in Conroe. Arrest warrants were issued for Jeffrey Basset, 66, and Gailing Guo, 55, both of whom were apprehended on site. The investigation was prompted by rising community concerns about human trafficking. Ongoing inquiries will explore any additional crimes connected to these businesses and assess whether any workers may be victims of sex trafficking.

Authorities emphasize the importance of enforcing state laws in the massage industry. The case reflects broader efforts to combat human trafficking and protect vulnerable individuals in the area. Investigators continue to gather evidence to support further legal action.
