The Woodlands Township Board of Directors held a special Pre-Budget meeting on July 23, 2025, to discuss potential initiatives for the 2026 budget. During the regular meeting, the Board unanimously approved an amendment to its operations policy in compliance with House Bill 1522, changing notice requirements for public meetings. Law enforcement reports presented during the meeting highlighted a steady decrease in crime, with notable efforts in proactive policing resulting in multiple arrests. The Board accepted an overview of the 89th Texas Legislative Session, where only 14 percent of the record 11,503 bills filed were passed. Chief Financial Officer Kellan Shaw reported year-to-date revenues of $98.
