Fentanyl Distributor pleads Guilty following Collaborative Investigation
Velasquez-Nikki Saadia Porter, a 36-year-old Houston resident, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute nearly 200 grams of fentanyl. The Montgomery County Narcotics Enforcement Team (MOCONET) led the investigation, which involved collaboration with the FBI and DEA. This coordinated effort began in 2023, focusing on fentanyl distribution and overdose incidents in the Houston area. Porter operated her narcotics distribution out of a local motel room, highlighting the challenges of combating drug trafficking in urban settings. The case is part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) operation aimed at dismantling high-level drug trafficking organizations.
Porter remains in custody and faces up to 40 years in prison and a maximum $5 million fine at her sentencing, scheduled for October 2. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office emphasizes its commitment to partnering with federal agencies to combat drug trafficking. This case reflects ongoing efforts to safeguard the community from the dangers of fentanyl and other narcotics.
