The Woodlands Township Board of Directors convened on July 17, 2025, to address several important community issues. They unanimously approved an amendment to the interlocal agreement with Montgomery County for enhanced maintenance of approximately 212 lane-miles of county road rights-of-way. Chief Operating Officer Chris Nunes reviewed the program, which includes provisions for tree removal and wildflower plantings, and extended the agreement through August 1, 2027. The Board also ratified an advanced funding agreement with TxDOT for traffic signal improvements at Alden Bridge Sports Park, which aims to improve safety for both vehicles and pedestrians. This includes installation of a new traffic signal system and upgraded pedestrian features.

Furthermore, they accepted the anticipated debt service collection rate for 2025-2026, certified at 100%, based on historical collection data. This collection rate will significantly impact the upcoming fiscal year’s tax rate calculations.
