New Pickleball Courts open at Creekwood and Windvale Park in The Woodlands

The Woodlands, TXLocal News

The Woodlands Township inaugurated new dedicated pickleball courts at Creekwood and Windvale Parks, increasing the total number of courts in the area to 19. Creekwood Park now boasts five courts, while Windvale Park features six, complementing the original eight at Falconwing Park. This expansion stems from community feedback collected during the Township’s recent Parks and Recreation Needs Assessment, which identified a rising demand for pickleball. In response, the Township Board of Directors approved funding to develop these facilities, recognizing pickleball as a significant recreation priority for residents. Users can reserve courts by calling local recreation centers, with fees set at $10 to $24 per hour, depending on residency and peak usage times.

The courts are available for play from 7 a. m. to 11 p. m. daily, catering to various schedules.

Additionally, residents can register for pickleball programs conveniently online or in person at local recreation centers. This initiative reflects the Township's commitment to enhancing recreational opportunities in the community.
