The Montgomery County Memorial Library System will close the South Regional Library in The Woodlands on July 26 to facilitate its relocation. The new Kevin Brady Library, named after the former congressman, will open in September 2025 at Grogan’s Mill Village Center. This move recognizes Brady's extensive public service and support for local initiatives, including library funding. After July 25, library holds can be picked up at the George & Cynthia Woods Mitchell Library, while the South Regional Library book drop will close on July 28. The new library will feature a dedicated children's area, a young adult room, and multiple study spaces, enhancing the community's access to educational resources.

The upgraded facility will also include a podcast studio and a 100-person theatre-style classroom, reinforcing its role as a hub for learning and connection. The South Regional Library has a historical significance, having opened in 1976 and rebuilt after a fire in 1992. This renovation represents a significant investment in community infrastructure and resources.
