The 49th Annual South County 4th of July Parade took place in The Woodlands on July 4, 2025, under the theme “Wings of Liberty: Celebrating the Bald Eagle. ” The event began with a three-cannon salute, followed by the parade starting at 9 a. m. Pre-parade activities included entertainment and a performance by The Woodlands Concert Band. A bald eagle, courtesy of Last Chance Forever – The Bird of Prey Conservancy, made a special appearance, symbolizing national pride and independence.

Commentators Nick Wolda and Ramon Torres guided spectators through the parade, which featured fire engines, public officials, and military units. A panel of judges awarded prizes across ten categories for the best floats and entries. The South County Fourth of July Committee, a nonprofit established in the early 1990s, has awarded over $98,000 in scholarships to high school bands. The event emphasizes community spirit and celebrates local traditions in The Woodlands area.
