The Woodlands Township Board of Directors convened on June 19 and 25, 2025, to discuss key community issues, including electric vehicle regulations and emergency preparedness. During the June 19 meeting, the Board proclaimed July as Parks and Recreation Month, highlighting the value of the township's 151 parks and 14 pools. President Monique Sharp acknowledged the Communications Department for its accolades at the TAMIO Annual Conference, where The Woodlands Community Magazine received first place and a thoughtful event campaign earned recognition. The Board unanimously accepted reports on electric vehicles, emergency preparedness initiatives, and the annual financial audit. Chief Operating Officer Chris Nunes presented the challenges of enforcing the prohibition on electric vehicles on pathways, prompting the Board to initiate public education efforts on pathway safety.

The Emergency Preparedness briefing revealed ongoing efforts to strengthen communication infrastructure, particularly after Hurricane Beryl. The annual financial audit confirmed a clean opinion with no misstatements, underscoring the Township's fiscal responsibility. Future meetings will evaluate potential modifications to the e-vehicle prohibition, reflecting the Board's responsiveness to community needs.
