Deputies from the District 6 Patrol Division responded to a large retail theft at Macy’s in The Woodlands Mall on December 2, 2016, detaining three suspects. A follow-up search revealed a substantial amount of stolen clothing from multiple retailers. The suspects have been charged with Theft and Unlawful Use of a Criminal Instrument, highlighting the ongoing issue of retail crime in the region. In a positive development, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office has partnered with the Montgomery County Women’s Center to donate the recovered clothing items. This initiative aims to support families affected by domestic abuse, providing them with essential resources.
