Sheriffs Office investigates Homicide and Related Fatality Crash in Magnolia

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide after 77-year-old Jeffry Love was found deceased with head injuries at his home in Magnolia, Texas. His stepson, Nicholas Petropolis, was involved in a fatal crash shortly before the welfare check was requested. Witnesses reported that Petropolis collided intentionally with a dump truck while fleeing the scene of an incident at the family residence. The dump truck driver, a 59-year-old male, was taken to a local hospital in stable condition. Investigators from the Major Crimes Division and the Medical Examiner’s Office are currently on the case to determine the circumstances surrounding both deaths.

Authorities emphasize that this incident appears to be isolated and poses no threat to the community. The quick response from law enforcement highlights their commitment to addressing family-related violence. This tragic event underscores the need for awareness regarding domestic issues that can escalate into violence.
