Bald eagle appearance to soar at South County 4th of July Parade
The South County 4th of July Parade will feature a live bald eagle appearance, courtesy of Last Chance Forever – The Bird of Prey Conservancy, as part of the 2025 theme “Wings of Liberty: Celebrating the Bald Eagle. ” This event pays tribute to the national bird, symbolizing American freedom and resilience. Last Chance Forever, founded by Master Falconer John Karger in 1978, is dedicated to rehabilitating injured birds of prey and educating the public. The majestic bald eagle will serve as a powerful reminder of the spirit of independence. John Powers, President of the South County 4th of July Committee, remarked that the eagle perfectly embodies the theme's message of liberty.
