Eight people were shot while on an outdoor balcony at 7 Elements restaurant in Philadelphia early Saturday morning, around 4 a. m. The victims included a security guard shot in the face and a woman shot in the back, but all were later reported in stable condition. Police Inspector D. F.

Pace stated that multiple shell casings were discovered on the upper floor, stairway, and parking lot, suggesting a chaotic scene. Authorities suspect the restaurant may have been operating illegally at the time of the incident. This shooting comes amid a series of violent events over the Fourth of July weekend, with other incidents reported in cities like Indianapolis and Chicago. In Indianapolis, two people were killed, prompting police to urge parents to supervise their children. The rise in gun violence raises concerns about public safety during holiday celebrations, with officials calling for community responsibility.
