City Closures Planned for Juneteenth

Spokane City Hall will close on Thursday, June 19, to observe Juneteenth, a federal holiday commemorating the emancipation of enslaved Black Americans. In addition, Spokane Municipal Court, Community Justice Services, all Spokane Public Library branches, and the Development Services Center will also be closed. Spokane 311 employees will be available for customer service inquiries via phone and online during the holiday. While on-street parking will be free, all parking rules, including time limits, remain enforced. Essential services such as garbage, recycling, and yard waste management will continue with normal operations, ensuring residents receive uninterrupted service.

Riverfront Park attractions, including the Looff Carrousel and Numerica SkyRide, will be open to the public. The Spokane City Council is scheduled to meet on Monday, June 23, for agenda review and legislative discussions.
