Spokane Valley invites residents to participate in shaping the future of the city's parks and recreation during an open house on December 2, from 6:00 to 7:30 p. m. at the Spokane Valley Library. Attendees can share their experiences and ideas regarding parks, trails, and recreation programs. Parks and Recreation Director John Bottelli stated that community voices are essential in crafting a system that meets local needs.

The update will assess existing parks and amenities while addressing current and future community requirements over the next 6 to 10 years. Residents can also contribute online through surveys, mapping ideas, and sharing priorities. This engagement reflects a broader effort to ensure the parks system accurately represents the community's desires.
