City Closures Planned for Juneteenth

Spokane City Hall will close on Juneteenth, June 19, to honor the federal holiday celebrating the emancipation of enslaved Black Americans. Spokane Municipal Court, Community Justice Services, all Spokane Public Library branches, and the Development Services Center will also be closed on this day. On-street parking meters and kiosks will not require payments, but all parking regulations, including time limits, will still apply. City services such as garbage, recycling, and food & yard waste collection will continue as usual, and the Waste-to-Energy facility will remain open. Spokane 311 will provide customer service support via phone and online on Juneteenth.

Riverfront Park attractions, including the Looff Carrousel, the Numerica SkyRide, and the Numerica Skate Ribbon, will be open. The Spokane City Council is scheduled to meet on June 23, with meetings streamed live on CityCable 5 and online.
