The demonstration, which started in Riverfront Park, saw thousands marching through downtown Spokane. Officers from the SPD Tactical Team engaged in dialogue with protest organizers to address safety concerns, contributing to the overall success of the event early on. However, as the evening progressed, the size of the crowd diminished, and by 8:44 p. m.

, officers issued dispersal orders due to continued roadway obstruction. In total, 11 individuals were arrested for failure to disperse, with one facing charges for malicious mischief. SPD used inert smoke and pepper balls to encourage compliance, ensuring safety for both demonstrators and motorists. No curfew was imposed that night, and SPD coordinated with local mall management to safely direct patrons. Chief Kevin Hall emphasized the department's commitment to upholding constitutional rights while maintaining order.
