The Public Infrastructure, Environment & Sustainability Committee (PIES) meeting is scheduled for June 16 at noon in the City Council Chambers, followed by an agenda review at 3:30 p. m. The District 2 Town Hall will also take place on June 16 at 6:00 p. m. , providing residents an opportunity to discuss local issues.

Additionally, the city will commemorate Juneteenth with various celebrations. The 28th annual Browne's Addition Summer Concerts will kick off on June 19 and run through August 7, featuring performances from local artists. Notably, the Lilac City Community Band will perform on July 10, followed by John Wayne Williams & Art Baker on July 17, and Gil Rivas on July 24. These events are designed to enhance community engagement and celebrate local culture. The concert series and town hall meetings are vital for fostering a sense of community and participation among residents.
