Suspects in Custody, Two Firearms Recovered, After Early Morning Drive-by Shooting

Spokane police took two suspects into custody after a drive-by shooting occurred early on May 31, 2025. Officers linked the incident to a similar event the previous day, where suspect Zachary Gring fled from law enforcement. Gring allegedly shot at a vehicle belonging to a former partner, prompting a swift police response. Officers apprehended Allie Alderson shortly after the shooting, charging her with multiple offenses, including drive-by shooting. Surveillance footage and citizen tips played crucial roles in locating the suspects.

Police recovered two firearms, one confirmed as stolen, during the investigation. Gring faces charges including unlawful possession of a firearm and attempted eluding. The ongoing investigation may lead to further charges as authorities continue to gather evidence.
