Suspects in Custody, Two Firearms Recovered, After Early Morning Drive-by Shooting

Spokane, WALocal News

Spokane police took two suspects into custody following a drive-by shooting that occurred in northeast Spokane on June 2, 2025. The incident, reported shortly after 5:30 a. m. , involved gunfire directed at a home and vehicle, but fortunately resulted in no injuries. Authorities linked this shooting to a similar event the previous day where the primary suspect, Zachary Gring, fled from police.

Officers arrested Allie Alderson, 26, who was found with Gring's vehicle and charged with multiple offenses, including two counts of drive-by shooting. Gring, 32, was arrested shortly thereafter and faces serious charges, including unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of a stolen firearm. Surveillance footage helped officers identify the suspects quickly, leading to their apprehension. The police confirmed that one of the firearms recovered was reported stolen. The investigation remains ongoing, with further charges likely as authorities gather more evidence.
