Suspects in Custody, Two Firearms Recovered, After Early Morning Drive-by Shooting
Spokane police arrested two suspects after a drive-by shooting this morning, recovering two firearms, one stolen. The shooting occurred just after 5:30 AM near Liberty Ave. and Market St. , resulting in property damage but no injuries. Officers linked the incident to a prior event, where suspect Zachary Gring, 32, eluded authorities.
He allegedly shot at a residence and vehicle belonging to an acquaintance. Alderson, 26, was apprehended shortly after and charged with drive-by shooting and other warrants. Gring faces charges including unlawful possession of a firearm and domestic violence-related offenses. The investigation continues, with further charges anticipated. Authorities are encouraging community vigilance as they address rising gun violence in the area.
