Suspects in Custody, Two Firearms Recovered, After Early Morning Drive-by Shooting

Spokane, WALocal News

Spokane police arrested two suspects following a drive-by shooting early this morning, with no injuries reported. The shooting occurred at approximately 5:30 AM near Liberty Ave. and Market St. , damaging a vehicle. Officers linked this incident to a similar event the previous day, where suspect Zachary Gring, 32, fled police after being identified as a potential shooter.

Surveillance footage assisted in locating Gring and his accomplice, 26-year-old Allie Alderson, who was apprehended after attempting to flee on foot. Gring faces multiple charges, including unlawful possession of a firearm and domestic violence-related drive-by shooting. Alderson was booked on two counts of drive-by shooting, along with other warrants for her arrest. The police are continuing their investigation and may refer additional charges to the prosecutor's office. Community vigilance played a critical role in the suspects' capture.
