Suspects in Custody, Two Firearms Recovered, After Early Morning Drive-by Shooting

Spokane Police apprehended Zachary Gring, 32, and Allie Alderson, 26, following a drive-by shooting incident early on May 31, 2025, in northeast Spokane. Gring shot at a vehicle and residence associated with a prior relationship, causing property damage but no injuries. Officers linked this incident to an earlier one where Gring evaded capture. Alderson, who fled the scene, was arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including two counts of drive-by shooting and possession of a firearm. Surveillance footage assisted police in identifying the suspects and their vehicle.

The investigation revealed that one of the recovered firearms was reported stolen. Gring faces several serious charges, including unlawful possession of a firearm and attempted eluding. This case highlights ongoing concerns about gun violence and domestic-related incidents in the Spokane area.
