Suspects in Custody, Two Firearms Recovered, After Early Morning Drive-by Shooting

Spokane police arrested two suspects early this morning following a drive-by shooting that damaged a vehicle and a house in northeast Spokane. The incident occurred around 5:30 a. m. at the intersection of Liberty Ave. and Market St.

, and officers connected it to a similar incident from the previous day involving suspect Zachary Gring, who has a history of evading police. Gring shot at a residence connected to a past relationship, prompting a swift police response. Officers apprehended Gring and his accomplice, Allie Alderson, who had outstanding warrants for riot and driving without a valid license. Gring faces serious charges including unlawful possession of a firearm and drive-by shooting. Surveillance footage aided police in identifying the suspects, leading to their capture shortly after the shooting.

Authorities are reviewing the case for potential additional charges, highlighting ongoing public safety concerns. The investigation underscores the need for community vigilance in reporting suspicious activities.
