Suspects in Custody, Two Firearms Recovered, After Early Morning Drive-by Shooting

Spokane Police arrested two suspects in connection with a drive-by shooting early on May 31, 2025, in northeast Spokane. The incident involved Zachary Gring, 32, who shot at a house and car linked to a previous altercation. Officers had already identified Gring as a suspect after he fled from police during an earlier encounter. Allie Alderson, 26, fled from the vehicle when police initiated a stop but was captured shortly thereafter. She has been booked on multiple charges, including two counts of drive-by shooting.

Gring was arrested without incident and faces serious charges, including unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of a stolen firearm. Local authorities are continuing their investigation, and additional charges may be referred to the prosecutor's office. This incident reflects ongoing concerns about gun violence and public safety in Spokane.
