Suspects in Custody, Two Firearms Recovered, After Early Morning Drive-by Shooting

Spokane police took two suspects into custody this morning following a drive-by shooting that damaged a vehicle but resulted in no injuries. Zachary Gring, 32, shot at a residence and car belonging to an acquaintance. Allie Alderson, 26, fled from the suspect vehicle but was apprehended nearby. Gring was arrested a short time later without incident. Both face multiple charges, including drive-by shooting and unlawful possession of firearms.

This incident is linked to a previous event where Gring eluded police and had probable cause for arrest. Surveillance footage and citizen reports aided the investigation, leading to their swift arrests. Authorities are referring additional misdemeanor charges to the prosecutor’s office as the investigation continues.
