Suspects in Custody, Two Firearms Recovered, After Early Morning Drive-by Shooting

Spokane police arrested two suspects after a drive-by shooting occurred early this morning, causing damage to a vehicle but no injuries. Zachary Gring, 32, faces charges including two counts of drive-by shooting and unlawful possession of a firearm. Allie Alderson, 26, was arrested and is charged with similar offenses and a Department of Corrections warrant. Officers responded to the shooting around 5:30 AM and linked it to a prior incident where Gring eluded police. Surveillance footage helped identify the suspects, leading to a traffic stop where both fled on foot.

Alderson was apprehended shortly after, while Gring was caught nearby based on a citizen's tip. Gring's criminal history includes a previous attempt to evade law enforcement. The investigation remains ongoing, with additional misdemeanor charges being referred to prosecutors.
