Suspects in Custody, Two Firearms Recovered, After Early Morning Drive-by Shooting

Spokane police arrested two suspects following a morning drive-by shooting that caused vehicle damage but no injuries. The primary suspect, Zachary Gring, 32, shot at a house and car linked to a past relationship before fleeing the scene. Gring had previously eluded police and was wanted for that incident. Officers apprehended 26-year-old Allie Alderson shortly after Gring, who faces charges related to drive-by shooting and a warrant for a previous offense. Both suspects were booked into Spokane County Jail, with Gring facing multiple counts, including unlawful possession of firearms and possession of a stolen firearm.

Surveillance footage and citizen reports aided the investigation, leading to the arrests. Local authorities emphasize the importance of community vigilance in addressing gun violence. As the investigation continues, additional charges are expected to be filed.
