Utility Bill Credit Available for Qualified Spokane Residents

Spokane, WALocal News

Spokane County has launched a utility bill credit program aimed at assisting low-income seniors and disabled property owners who qualify for property tax exemptions. The City of Spokane offers a $15 monthly credit to eligible residents, helping to lower their costs for essential services such as water, sewer, and solid waste collection. Interested individuals can check their eligibility on the Spokane County website. The credit is distributed evenly across the City’s three main utility services, with prorated amounts for those using fewer services. Once approved, participants will see the credit reflected on their bills starting the month after acceptance into the program.

This initiative is part of Spokane’s broader efforts to support vulnerable community members. The City encourages residents to apply promptly to begin receiving benefits. By easing financial burdens, the program aims to improve the quality of life for eligible residents.
