One Hospitalized After Morning House Fire on North Crestline Street
Spokane firefighters responded to a bedroom fire at 9:30 a. m. today in the 7400 block of North Crestline Street, aided by Spokane County Fire District 9. Engine 15 reached the scene in four minutes, confirming an active fire and quickly extinguishing it. An adult male was hospitalized due to serious smoke inhalation, while an adult female received on-scene evaluation.
Investigators found that the fire ignited from improperly discarded smoking materials in a bedroom chair. The American Red Cross has stepped in to assist two displaced adults and their dog.
