Spokane Valley Launches Community Conversations

Spokane, WALocal News

Spokane Valley is set to enhance civic engagement through a new initiative called Community Conversations, which kicks off on March 18, 2025. This program invites all community members to the City Hall for an opportunity to meet city leaders and discuss important topics affecting their lives. Mayor Pam Haley expressed the program's mission to create a platform where every resident's voice can influence city decisions. Key issues to be addressed include the 2026 city budget, public safety measures, and updates to the Parks and Recreation Master Plan. The city aims to foster open dialogue, allowing residents to share their concerns and ideas directly with Councilmembers.

In addition to the community discussions, participants can stay for the City Council meeting at 6 p. m. This initiative reflects a commitment to transparency and collaboration in local governance. Overall, Community Conversations aims to build a stronger, more inclusive Spokane Valley.
