Spokane, WALocal News

Spokane is set to host a public workshop on January 23, 2025, to discuss the Pacific Avenue Greenway project, which aims to enhance connectivity between downtown and the University District through a safe route for walking, biking, and rolling. The workshop will mark the second phase of the project, focusing on the stretch of Pacific Avenue from Sherman Street to Perry Street, following the first segment's progress from Washington Street to Sherman Street. Scheduled for 5:30 to 7 p. m. at Uptic Studios, the event will feature an overview presentation by project staff and interactive discussions where community members can voice their opinions on the proposed designs.

This initiative is part of Spokane's commitment to improving transportation infrastructure and fostering safer environments for all road users. By participating, residents can contribute to shaping the future of their community. Attendees will also have the chance to view a workshop flyer and learn more about the overall Pacific Avenue Greenway project. This gathering represents an important opportunity for civic engagement in local urban planning efforts.
