Passport Wallet Refunds Announced by City of Spokane

Spokane, WALocal News

The City of Spokane has made a significant transition from the Passport parking app to ParkMobile, which began in 2022. As part of this change, the city has refunded over 5,800 customers who had credits remaining in their Passport accounts. To facilitate the refund process, Spokane is actively contacting residents directly via text or email until March 2025. Any Passport balances that are not refunded by the end of August 2025 will be considered unclaimed property and will be turned over to the state in accordance with Washington State Escheat laws. This effort reflects the city's dedication to transparency and efficient financial management.

Residents with questions can refer to the city's Passport FAQ for more information. The initiative is designed to ensure that all eligible customers receive their rightful refunds, promoting trust within the community. Spokane's proactive approach not only aids its residents but also emphasizes the importance of responsible management of municipal services.
