Suspect in Custody After Committing Multiple Armed Robberies

Spokane Police charged Justin McDowell, 45, with two counts of 1st Degree Robbery following two armed robberies in November 2025. The initial robbery took place on November 2 at a marijuana retail store, where he stole cash while armed with a shotgun and wearing a Halloween mask. Investigators traced a suspect vehicle through video evidence, leading to interviews that identified McDowell as a suspect. Just days later, on November 7, he committed another robbery at a gaming store, utilizing similar disguises and weapons. Police located McDowell that evening in the 2900 block of East Broad and arrested him, seizing evidence of his crimes.

He is currently incarcerated at Spokane County Jail, with a bond set at $50,000. The police's proactive approach, collaborating with local tribes, aided in the swift identification and capture of the suspect. This incident highlights ongoing concerns regarding safety in local retail environments.
