Suspect in Custody After Committing Multiple Armed Robberies
Spokane Police arrested Justin McDowell, 45, after he allegedly committed two armed robberies within a week. The first incident occurred on November 2nd at a marijuana retail store, where he stole cash while armed with a shotgun and wearing a Halloween mask. Following an investigation that included video evidence and witness interviews, McDowell was identified as a suspect. On November 7th, he struck again at a gaming store, using similar attire and weaponry. Police located him later that evening in the 2900 block of East Broad, where they seized evidence linked to the crimes.
McDowell faces two counts of 1st Degree Robbery and is currently held on a $50,000 bond. The swift police response and collaboration with local tribes helped in apprehending the suspect. Spokane authorities urge the community to report any suspicious activities to enhance public safety.
