Suspect in Custody After Committing Multiple Armed Robberies

Spokane, WALocal News

Spokane Police arrested 45-year-old Justin McDowell following two armed robberies in early November 2025. The first robbery occurred on November 2 at a marijuana retail store on South Lewis Street, where the suspect, wearing a Halloween mask and armed with a shotgun, stole cash from the register. Just days later, on November 7, a gaming store on East Holland Avenue experienced a similar robbery involving the same mask and weapon. Investigators utilized video evidence and witness interviews to identify McDowell as a suspect. Officers located him later that day and seized evidence linked to the crimes.

McDowell now faces two counts of 1st Degree Robbery and is being held on a $50,000 bond. The police are exploring additional connections to other potential robberies in the area. This series of crimes highlights ongoing concerns about public safety in Spokane.
