Suspect in Custody After Committing Multiple Armed Robberies

Spokane Police arrested 45-year-old Justin McDowell after linking him to two armed robberies that occurred within a week. The first incident unfolded on November 2, 2025, at a marijuana retail store on South Lewis Street, where an assailant, wearing a Halloween mask and wielding a shotgun, stole cash from the register. Investigators utilized video evidence to identify a suspect vehicle, which led them to McDowell. On November 7, a second robbery occurred at a gaming store on East Holland Avenue, involving a similar disguise and weapon, reinforcing the connection to McDowell. Law enforcement located him later that day, seizing evidence tied to both crimes.

McDowell was subsequently booked into Spokane County Jail on two counts of 1st Degree Robbery. He remains in custody with a bond set at $50,000. The Spokane Police Department continues to investigate the incidents, underscoring community safety concerns.
