Suspect in Custody After Committing Multiple Armed Robberies

Spokane Police arrested Justin McDowell, 45, for two armed robberies occurring in early November. The first incident occurred on November 2 at a marijuana retail store on South Lewis Street, where a man in a Halloween mask and armed with a shotgun stole cash. Investigators reviewed video footage and conducted witness interviews, leading to McDowell's identification. A second robbery occurred on November 7 at a gaming store, where similar tactics were employed. Officers located McDowell in the 2900 block of East Broad later that same day, retrieving evidence linked to both crimes.

McDowell was booked into the Spokane County Jail, facing two counts of 1st Degree Robbery. He is currently held on a $50,000 bond. The Spokane Police Department continues to investigate the case and urges anyone with additional information to come forward.
