Suspect in Custody After Committing Multiple Armed Robberies

Spokane Police arrested Justin McDowell, 45, in connection with two armed robberies occurring in early November. The first incident occurred on November 2nd at a marijuana retail store on South Lewis Street, where a masked assailant armed with a shotgun stole cash from the register. Following this robbery, investigators gathered video evidence and conducted witness interviews, which led them to identify McDowell as a suspect. On November 7th, a second armed robbery took place at a gaming store, displaying similar characteristics to the first. Officers located McDowell later that day in the 2900 block of East Broad and seized evidence related to both crimes.

He has been charged with two counts of 1st Degree Robbery and is currently held on a $50,000 bond. The Spokane Police Department continues to investigate the case, seeking any additional information from the public. The rapid identification and arrest of the suspect highlight the effectiveness of interagency collaboration in addressing local crime.
