Suspect in Custody After Committing Multiple Armed Robberies

Spokane, WALocal News

Spokane Police arrested Justin McDowell, 45, for two armed robberies committed within a week. The first robbery took place on November 2, 2025, at a marijuana retail store on South Lewis Street, where an employee reported a suspect wearing a Halloween mask and armed with a shotgun stealing cash. Investigators identified McDowell through video evidence and witness interviews, leading to a second robbery on November 7 at a gaming store, also involving a similar disguise and weapon. Police located McDowell later that day in the 2900 block of East Broad and arrested him, seizing evidence linked to both crimes. He now faces two counts of 1st Degree Robbery and is being held on a $50,000 bond.

The Spokane Police Department collaborated with local law enforcement partners in the investigation. Such incidents raise concerns about safety in the community, particularly in establishments selling marijuana. Authorities encourage the public to report suspicious activities to help prevent further crimes.
