Suspect in Custody After Committing Multiple Armed Robberies

Spokane, WALocal News

Spokane Police arrested Justin McDowell, 45, on November 7 for two armed robberies occurring within a week. The first incident took place on November 2 at a marijuana retail store, where a masked suspect wielding a shotgun stole cash from the register. Video evidence helped investigators connect McDowell to this robbery and identify a suspect vehicle. Just hours before his arrest, a second armed robbery occurred at a gaming store, again involving a similar mask and weapon. Law enforcement located McDowell in the 2900 block of East Broad and seized evidence related to the robberies.

He was booked into Spokane County Jail on two counts of 1st Degree Robbery, with a bond set at $50,000. The Spokane Police Department continues to investigate both incidents, seeking additional evidence and any potential accomplices. These crimes highlight ongoing concerns about safety in the community, particularly around local retail establishments.
